I joined the Cisco team to understand the world of internal and executive communications. My contract was terminated early due to budget cuts, but below are some of my roles/projects I was working on during my time there.
Social Media
As a ghostwriter for executives, I drafted social copy for LinkedIn and Twitter for two executives within the department to help boost their social presence and following.
Internal Comms
I drafted and sent out a bi-weekly newsletter to over 1,000+ employees on key recognition and updates within the department.
In addition, I supported the production of the department-wide "Town Hall" of sorts which spanned attendees from North America and Latin America.
Podcast Series
While this has not taken off yet, I was able to flex my muscles in creating a podcast strategy plan that's inclusive of key objectives, potential guests, and key topics to focus on.
From this particular project, it taught me that I'm interested in production and creating content for internal and external audiences. I enjoy interviewing people and having the opportunity to share their stories.
